Whether you compete in racing with any form of vehicle; car, buggy, jet ski, jet boat, motorbike or mountain bike, want to “have a go” in or on your road vehicle or just want to be a spectator then you need to act now.
Please join the Incorporated Society formed to help you to have somewhere to go in the Central New Zealand region.
NZ Central Motorsport & Adventure Park Supporters Club Incorporated Society has been formed to support the later stages of obtaining Resouce Consent to establishment a Motorsport and Adventure Park in the West Branch of the Stanley Brook Valley, Tapawera.
This is likely to be Nelsons best and only chance to have the opportunity to get access to some land to allow permanent activities of the motorsport and adventure kind.
Membership cost is set at $50 per annum and open to any individual.
Your $50 will help fund the very best legal support and expert witness to give evidence to show the Commissioners deciding wether to grant the Consent that they should.
The budget to progress the Consent is over $130,000 and this is on top of the $64,000 spent up to the stage of submitting the application.
We certainly need your help to meet these costs. We are seeking support from at least 1000 people.
At less than the equivalent of $1 per week you can help.
Becoming a member will also show the Councils and Commissioners the size of support in our Community.
The Society will also assist members to be informed and make submissions on the two Councils Long Term Funding Plans that are currently coming up for public and community submissions.
If you haven’t heard the TDC had previously allocated $630,000 to help establish a motorsport park in the Tasman region but in their recent workshop reviewing the Plan they are proposing to remove it. Its important submissions are made by as many as possible to convince the TDC to stay committed to it. The society can make it easy for you to make a submission on this.

Once the Park is operational the Incorporated Society will seek to provide concession benefits and privileges for members in the operations of the Park and for admission to events taking place at the Park.
The access to the Park is currently proposed to be by granting individuals a special licence system. Your $50 membership will also give you a members a licence to access the Park subject to Health and Safety controls and commercial restrictions. Non-Members will incur a charge under this system.
