The first 5 Businesses have joined the new voucher scheme to benefit you the members

The Business Voucher Scheme is off to a great start and all members can get $55 worth of discounts or free goods and services already.

To give immediate value to members /supporters we have developed and just launched a “voucher scheme” where local business can support Kohatu Park by offering discounts on their goods and services to members of our Society and in return the business gets a corporate membership.

Ask at your work if they are keen to join the voucher scheme and help Kohatu Park "make it happen”.

Kohatu Park is now the name for NZ Central Motorsport and Adventure Park

The Society's Board has selected "Kohatu Park" as the offical name for our venue.

After considering many suggestions and getting input from the locals Kohatu Park was a clear favourite.

Kohatu is the Maori word for rock and is the local area where the Park will be accessed from.

Support for development

The backer of a proposed motorsport park near Tapawera aims to secure council and community support for its development.

Garry Adcock has finally received resource consent for the NZ Central Motorsports and Adventure Park, three years after his initial application.

A meeting of an incorporated society that has been formed to take the project to the next stage will be held on June 25.

Environment Court has issued the long awaited Consent Order

At last the Consent Order has been issued by the Environment Court, which now means the necessary resource management planning permissions have been obtained.
With this milestone achieved the flag has dropped and the Park can become a reality.
Over the next couple of months our Society will put together a group of interested people to form a Board that can focus on the best way to progress the establishment of the Motorsport and Adventure Park.

Tapawera motorsport park to get consent - Fairfax NZ News Article

A planned regional motorsport park near Tapawera is set to get the go-ahead.

The venture, now known as the NZ Central Motorsports and Adventure Park, was granted earthworks and initial infrastructure consents mid-2012 but that was appealed by three neighbouring landowners and Nelson Forests.

The Tasman District Council notes the appeal matters have been resolved among the parties and a consent order is expected to be issued shortly from the Environment Court.

Adcock Properties owner Garry Adcock has been the driver of the $26 million project to be built in stages.

TDC Draft Long Term Plan for 2012 to 2022 sees Motorsports $630,000 worse off

The TDC draft long Term Plan for 2012 to 2022 takes $630,000 away from Motorsports that was in the previous plan from 3 years ago.

While Motorsport followers in the community effectively suffer the draft plan sees the commitment to spend over $11.3 million in the next 3 years on other sports and community services and even more in the following 6 years.
